The Oregon Health & Science University’s Center for Health & Healing has received LEED platinum certification, the first medical and research facility in the U.S. to achieve the distinction. This building also employs a number of sustainable strategies, including photovoltaic arrays, a trombe wall, a gas-fueled power system, and an on-site wastewater treatment plant.
