Top Workplaces 2020

“Collaborating on all levels” is one of the tenets of sound business practice that runs through all aspects of work at General Sheet Metal, and one of the many reasons the company has received employee nominations in the 2020 competition for Top Workplaces in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Chief Operating Officer Kelly True says, “We believe that good ideas can come from anywhere, allowing everyone engaged in the process to speak into it and work for the best outcome.” He said General Sheet Metal encourages its managers to “allow additional input, even when you think you know the right answer — allow people to grow and take ownership. Not every decision is consensus based, but we seek to get buy-in at all levels, even when it’s not easy.”
